The Archaeology Museum at Eggenberg Palace displays world-famous Hallstatt-era "traces of life" such as the "cult chariot of Strettweg", but also valuable Roman finds from Styria.

Graz 1699
The special exhibition Graz 1699 at the Archaeology Museum transports visitors into the vibrant atmosphere of the city of Graz in the 17th century and offers an impressive, immersive experience. The focus is on a digital reconstruction of baroque Graz, based on historical copperplate engravings and enriched by selected archaeological finds from Graz city center.
Graz 1699 is a special exhibition as part of STEIERMARK SCHAU 2025 at Schloss Eggenberg, which offers additional perspectives on the history and culture of the Styrian capital.
