From city to countryside in 10 minutes. The region combines city feeling and southern flair.

Pleasure and urban lifestyle

The city of Graz combines pleasure, culture, design and an urban lifestyle. But just outside the city gates there is so much to explore and even more to enjoy.

Graz is Austria’s second largest city and only Capital of Delight, the European Capital of Culture 2003 and a City of Design! The lively, charming and Mediterranean-style capital of Styria impresses with a rich range of culture, events, culinary delights and shopping opportunities. Old meets new. Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque mingle with modern architecture. The Graz “Stadtkrone”, the unique roofscape and hidden courtyards make the old town of Graz a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Schlossberg and its clock tower, a landmark well-known beyond the city limits, stand tall in the heart of the city.

Locals love the authentic recreational area just outside the city. As they can recharge their batteries cycling, hiking, forest bathing, golfing or swimming without having to travel far. The Graz Region beckons with top attractions and incomparable adventures in all directions.
