Experience and discover in the Styrian Fire Museum Art & Culture everything about the history of the Styrian fire departments: The museum’s display collection ventures a look behind the scenes: Who are the people in the fire department and what stories can they tell? An absolute highlight of the exhibition is the helmet collection, which includes a variety of national and international firefighters helmets.

The modern presentation allows a lively examination of the technical and social development of the Styrian fire departments, historical firefighting equipment and contemporary operational technology show the development of the blue light organization. The horse-drawn Landfahrspritzen as well as the much sought-after fire department vintage cars round out the exhibition visit.

For the young museum audience, there are children’s stations that explain at eye level many interesting topics related to fire and its fighting and invite interaction. A small but fine Roman collection tells the story of the Roman settlement in the district Grünau in Groß St. Florian. With center thereby the silver cup of Grünau, which is considered one of the outstanding finds from this time in Styria.
