As artists and chefs, father and son Peter Troißinger Senior and Peter Troißinger Junior realise themselves daily anew paired with regional flair. The Troißinger family’s Malerwinkl is not only a particularly charming restaurant, but also the first art hotel in the thermal and volcanic region of Styria. In the herb and art garden you will encounter all kinds of crazy things. Crazy, i.e. a little away from normal, is also what goes on in the kitchen. Committed to quality, regionality and variety, but not following any norms and rules, high culinary art meets the ability to stage food artistically: EAT & ART. And because the fine wines and many a homemade chutney, herb and jam curiosity tempt you to take them home, there is also a small, inspiring EAT & ART wine shop. Styrian delicatessen à la Malerwinkl. The Troißinger family and the Malerwinkl are true feel-good specialists for the senses. Sensually good. The ten colourful rooms are individually designed according to an artistic theme inspired by Gaudí, Monet, Klimt or Warhol. Some rooms have their own balcony or terrace. Amenities include a flat-screen satellite TV as well as free WiFi throughout the house. New is the holiday apartment at the artists’ farm, the creative studio of Peter Troißinger Senior. The apartment is equipped with a kitchen-living room, a bedroom and a bathroom with shower – and especially in the hot summer months you can relax wonderfully in the courtyard. Tip: The 4.5-kilometre-long Art-Panorama Circuit starts directly at the Malerwinkl – enjoy art and the magnificent panorama of Hatzendorf and the Riegersburg castle.

You will find us at the beginning of Hatzendorf opposite the agricultural school. You can park your car free of charge at the hotel car park.
