Weinschloss Thaller

The Thaller wine castle is nestled in vineyards in the middle of the Thermen- & Vulkanland. As a typical family business, the Thaller’s live, work and think in generations. More than 40 years ago, the foundation was laid here for the vinification of outstanding wines and thus the foundation for continuous and quality-oriented further development.

The family cultivates around 25 hectares of vineyards on gentle hills. Here, the winemaker siblings Katharina and Karl G. take responsibility and place a clear focus on red wine. The range of white wine varieties includes the typical Styrian line and goes deep into the red wine segment with autochthonous Zweigelt through to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Shiraz.

The impressive barrel cellar houses around 500 barrique barrels. While the wines can be tasted in the Greißlerei, the traditional Buschenschank invites you to linger & enjoy. In addition to the wine tasting, event lady Bettina and her team offer a range of culinary events paired with classical music, musicals, tradition and shows!
