Tradition & modernity at Kornberg Castle

Kornberg Castle was first mentioned in documents in 1284. In the 16th and 17th centuries, it took on its current appearance and became a residential castle. It has been owned by the Bardeau family for four generations now and is a popular excursion destination in Thermen- & Vulkanland.

Andreas Bardeau has made it his mission to bring people closer to the castle and its history. During a guided tour of Kornberg Castle, Bardeau talks about the castle and answers his guests' questions. A champagne reception in the castle garden awaits afterwards on request.

A multimedia exhibition rounds off the visit. Talking picture frames and VR glasses bring the past to life – and show that Kornberg Castle is anything but dusty. The castle is also an ideal destination for an excursion with children in Styria.

Further experiences at Kornberg Castle

There's even more to see and experience at Kornberg Castle: Every year there is an Oriental Carpet Exhibition as well as an Easter and Christmas Exhibition. A planetarium brings the starry sky close enough to touch. In the Meierhof at the foot of the Schlossberg, the permanent exhibition "The Small World of Castles" presents the world's most beautiful castles and palaces in miniature.
