I, Michaela Friedl, am allowed to give my parents’ farm a new direction as farm manager – well-considered and yet curious about where the path will lead with our organic mushrooms. The basis for our mushrooms grows in the fields. They now thrive in the old stables instead of the pigs. The substrate that our mushrooms do not use is allowed to return to the fields as fertilizer.
Our mushrooms are allowed to mature under protection. We obtain energy from the sun via the farm’s own photovoltaic system, our forest in the form of wood chips provides the heat, and the house well supplies the water that our mushrooms need. We use a control system to provide our mushrooms with the most pleasant climate possible.
Our mushrooms are harvested by hand and prepared for sale. Different varieties are available depending on the season. Our mushrooms are available from the farm or in selected sales outlets. We deliver as soon as possible after the harvest so that the mushrooms arrive fresh at the consumer.
We try to treat our environment with care throughout the entire process. That’s why we sell our mushrooms open in bulk as far as possible, or in wooden crates for smaller units. However, this is only possible if we handle our mushrooms carefully when weighing and transporting them
