Bathing fun at Freibad Fürstenfeld

Pack your swimming trunks and visit Austria’s largest pool during an excursion to Thermen- & Vulkanland. Freibad Fürstenfeld is located in the Thermen- & Vulkanland capital of the same name and can be visited free of charge from an overnight stay at a GenussCard host. Even on a daily basis!

Four different sections of the pool with a total of 23,000 m² of water surface await you. There are also plenty of places to lie down: with 100,000 m² of green space, there is guaranteed to be a spot for you – whether in the shade or in the sun. If you like it cozy, you can also borrow a deck chair and parasol.

Endless action

Action is just as important on a swimming vacation in Styria as the water itself. The 116-metre-long speed water slide, the longest in Austria, is one of the attractions at Freibad Fürstenfeld. To get to the slide, you first have to climb the 12 m high ascent tower, but then nothing stands in the way of sliding down. Safety is also taken care of – a traffic light system lets you know when your slide is about to start.

All those who like things a little quieter can try out the wide wave slide. The whole family will love whizzing down into the cool water.

Are you more of a showman? Then show off your best somersaults and head jumps from the diving tower. Freibad Fürstenfeld is one of the few outdoor pools in Styria that can even boast a 10-metre tower! So choose between four different heights: 3 m, 5 m, 7.5 m or even 10 m. There is also a 1 m and 3 m diving board for those new to diving.

Of course, the Fürstenfeld outdoor pool doesn’t forget the little ones either. The children’s pool, which is separated from the main pool, has its own children’s slide and extra sun protection. This makes a trip to the outdoor pool a highlight for the little ones too!

Enough water? Then off to the countryside! There are plenty of options for you at the Freibad Fürstenfeld: Beach volleyball, streetball, soccer, table tennis or trampolining. You won’t get bored!

Should you actually be studying or working from home? No problem, just take your laptop with you. Austria’s largest swimming pool offers you free internet access during your swimming trip.

For younger guests, there is also a children’s playground with various attractions. From an XL wooden marble run tower to a nest swing and a tree carousel, there is plenty to discover.

And even the hungriest of appetites are catered for. At Freibad Fürstenfeld, you can get all kinds of meals, snacks, ice cream and drinks at the restaurant and buffet.
