Bioweingut Ploder Rosenberg

Deeply rooted on the Rosenberg in the Styrian volcanic region, Ploder-Rosenberg is developing. Maria and Alfred Ploder, together with their son Manuel & a dedicated team, have established their winery as a biodynamic work of art. Today, the third generation, consisting of Manuel Ploder & Selina Weratschnig, is already setting the tone. Natural wines are produced in various lines in harmony with nature. All wines are characterized by different lengths of development on the skins and plenty of time for self-development.

Contains traces of life. Life is at the heart of our work. Our (vine) gardens are alive, deeply rooted in living soil. Biodiversity, varietal diversity, sustainability; early on, we opted for the gentlest form of viticulture – biodynamic (demeter) work. In addition to vines, our gardens contain a wide variety of trees, shrubs and herbs as well as space for permaculture elements; rock piles, deadwood islands and bird nesting boxes. The focus on sustainable grape varieties, fungus-resistant vines (PIWIs), completes the circle. We preserve vitality through gentle processing. For us, minimalism in the cellar means support instead of excessive intervention. Free from unnecessary interventions and additives, our wines are allowed to develop according to their character in steel, wood and clay.

For your body, mind and soul. More and more wine connoisseurs are longing for the added value of enjoyment and digestibility that natural wines offer. Ploder-Rosenberg strives for holistic biodynamic agriculture in such a way that it corresponds to a world worth living in.

Earth and earth – the summer solstice courtyard festival At the summer solstice on June 22 everything at Rosenberg revolves around art, culinary delights & natural wines. The Ploder family opens their farm festival at 13:00. Enjoyment is possible even if it rains. Admission is free.
